The faculty will teach a comprehensive and integrated curriculum.
- Comprehensive curriculum
- The curriculum will cover all content areas and be based on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS).
- Physical education will be taught daily. Gross and fine motor skills will be addressed through exercise, activities, and games.
- All students will participate in computer, music, and art which are scheduled twice weekly.
- Alphabet Phonics or MTA reading instruction will be provided to the students who qualify based on either previous assessment or assessment completed upon teacher referral.
- Speech therapy services will be offered to students who qualify.
- Integrated curriculum
- Consistency in instructional methods in math spelling, and language strategies will occur from the youngest class to the oldest class.
- Teachers of computer and art will reinforce what is taught in the class by providing activities, which will interface with the activities of the classroom teacher.
- Tutoring is available upon request.
